Research

My academic research focused on determining how exposure to environmental contaminants can impact public health. Generally, my research begins with a question – what causes X disease?  To explore this, I work closely with epidemiologists and medical practitioners to fully understand the nature and physio-pathology of the disease before formulating hypotheses about the potential environmental exposure that may contribute to disease onset and/or occurrence. To answer the question, I attempt to explore all possible exposure scenarios in the environment, by either sampling practically or modeling theoretically.
